Weekly Report - WEEK 15

 Hello, this week was very busy and exhausting as I said last week. There were so many customers came by to buy their essential medicines as it was early of the month where everyone got their pay check. Not only that, there were so many sales representative came by to update the stocks and ordered new ones and some even adding new products for us to manage and sell too. 

    Hence, this week we do not have enough space even though we have already clean and rearrange all the products and stocks. We have to pile up some overload products and the pharmacy seems to be smaller space than before. My boss also told all of us that she had ordered new racks to put at the window of the store in front. As the front of the window, we usually display the disabled accessories such as wheelchairs, crutches, walking stick and others too. We need to maximise used all the space to accommodate the spaces. 

    The 3.3 sales has begun and it one of the dreadful yet tiring days. I was able to learn from Ms Leong on how to confirm orders from Shopee application on Tuesday and the next day she was on holiday which was the 3.3 sales. At first she said that I have to let my boss do the printing and confirming orders but since she was so busy she put her trust on me to do it all. I was very scared and nervous besides it was my first time doing it and it was terrible. The sequence order and the airway bill are separating. I arranged together the pieces but on Friday some customer receive the wrong product which was my fault. I was having my anxiety but manageable to be calm as my boss was so relax and said that you will not know if you did not do mistakes. I also apologised for my mistake.

    Therefore, it was a lesson for me to be more careful, cautious and alert. My heart almost explodes as my boss put the trust on me but she still believe in me which I will have to work harder than before. I think that is all for my rambling thought for this week and also a lesson to learn. By the way I have submitted my final report to my academic supervisor on the afternoon and hopefully got excellent marks from him. Thank you😁

Weekly Report - WEEK 14

Hi again, for this week I have an exciting news to tell. I was offered a permanent job at Bliss Pharmacy with a different job scope. My job scope will be handling Shopee shop account under the name of Bliss Pharmacy. I have learn a little bit of how to print the airway bills, packing list and picklist to ease the order because of the sales made for 3.3 promotion in Shopee app. We were preparing to order the new stocks for next week which will be the new month of March. Well February is a short month. Next week will be busier as the 3.3 sales started, then there will be sales representatives from companies that supplies the products and all the new stocks will be coming in. There will be a lot of preparation needed to be done. For example, my boss had given me this new job scope so that I have my own desk and personal computer (PC) to edit pictures for Shopee shop application. Then, I have to reply to every inquiries or messages from the buyers. I also have to monitor the stock and always update it. Therefore, I have to be more attentive and also cautious with this new job scope, as it was a big responsibility that I have to take and improve the customer service for the app. For now, my target is to finish all the editing cover photos so the next I can edit all products description in form of informative picture and not only from the written description. After that I can decorate the shop template, cover photos and also boosting up the page. Hopefully can boost up the sale also. I felt very excited and nervous as I have major anxiety attack if something does not happen as it goes or plan. So, I have to build up my skills and praying that I can achieve my target by pushing my limit to the max. I really believe in working hard paid off as in this world nothing you can change if you do not start it and work for it. I think that is all for now. Thank you😊

Weekly Report - WEEK 13

 Hello, how are you doing? I'm good so far. Last 2 weeks I have gotten a message from my academic supervisor which was Ustaz Adli saying that I have to undergo a site visit from supervisor to my pharmacy via google meet. I have prepared everything on what to say and aske my supervisor on what day should I do it. She said that all of my colleagues were available on Thursday which we all were. So, I decided to set up a meet on that day. I have wanted to set the time at 3.00pm but my academic supervisor, was not available by that time. So I moved up to 11.00 am, Thursday on 18th February 2021. The day before the meet my academic supervisor reminded me about preparing the slides for the site visit. I was confused and asked him that was it for presentation which I should perform it on the last week of internship. He said if I'm ready just do it after the site visit meet because he does not want to burden me doing it for 2 times. 

    Therefore, I have to prepare the slides for 10minutes of duration of the presentation. I was panicked and when I got home I immediately draft the slides and also write a little bit of the report because I thought he wanted the report after the presentation and luckily one of my friends in group with same academic supervisor said that we need to submit the report after the internship and Ustaz Adli just gave the submission date for the report. To my relief I was able to finish my slides presentation on time and try to set a google meet link for Ustaz Adli. Unfortunately, my laptop were not in a good shape which the audio speaker have broken. I have found an initiative to borrow my brother's laptop as the day of my presentation my brother does not have online classes. Lucky me I guess. On the day of the presentation, I meet up with my academic supervisor and introduces him to Mr Kho which was one of my colleagues and also a certified pharmacist worked there. He replaces Ms Tan my industrial supervisor as the customers came in a lot and they prefer her to serve them. Thus, Mr Kho came in to the rescue. We talked a lot about my experience and also how I end up applying there and also how do I behave at my workplace. 

    Everything went smoothly and when I present Mr Kho gives me space for me as he wants to serves the customers outside. I was satisfied with my presentation and also with the site visit meet between my academic and my industrial supervisor. It went well. I have recorded all the Google Meet session. Hence when I got home that day I was surprised to see that the recording was not found at all. I was devastated but remain calm. I did not tell my academic supervisor yet. Maybe thinking of telling him the next day. By the next day, I got an email of my recording and shocked it just been uploaded in my google drive with my email that been given by the college. I was relieved and felt grateful. The recording of my site visit and my presentation duration was almost an hour, therefore, it took time to regenerate including the transcription of the conversation we had into text. I am able to finished everything and focusing on finishing and submitting the final report by next week. I'm glad to have kind colleague, industrial supervisor and academic supervisor which understands me and guide me getting through this internship. I think that was all for this week troublesome. Weekly Report - WEEK 12

 Welcome back to my blogpost. It's already week 12. I cannot believe how time flies. This week was a celebration of Chinese New Year with the greetings of "Xīn nián kuài lè" which means Happy Chinese New Year. My boss gave all of us 2 days of holidays which was on Friday and Saturday the pharmacy were closed. As for me I got one day extra holiday which on Friday. On Thursday we have a half day which I worked until 3.00pm.  We have already celebrate earllier this week which my boss treat us for lunch. We ate Kyochon set with 4 pieces of chicken wings and drumstick with 2 different flavours. She also treat us with yogurt dinks which ordered from Grabfood application. On that day also a bit hectic due to the installation of the new Wi-Fi from Maxis Fibre at the pharmacy, the banner put up by Ensure company came by and start their banner and also their representative also came by to rearrange their rented slots of their promoted products. By that time also because of the Ensure rep came by and asked for new rack to place their products I have to rearrange the racks of other products to other places. I managed to went out to perform my prayers at home 1.30pm and after I return I ate some burnt cheesecake made by Ms Leong. It was very delicious and made me full immediately. As for other meals I brought back to my house. Not only that, I received some gifts from Ms Tan my boss/ industrial supervisor. There were pomelo fruit, a box of oranges and ang pow given by Ms Tan, her mother and Ms Leong. I was so happy that I never thought of getting ang pow before and it was quite a lot and I really appreciate my boss as she gave me the opportunity to work and learnt from her. Even though it was quite challenging for us to have a perfect togetherness and enjoy ourselves eating together but it was bit busy and all the installation, setting up banner and customers were a lot coming in too we still managed to eat and have fun. It was memorable day and I felt appreciated by all of them. I wanted to thank them for being so kind and helpful during my happy and hardest time undergoing the internship. I think that was all before I get more emotional writing this hehe. Thank you and til then✌

Weekly Report - WEEK 11

Hi there! This week my colleague, Kak Farhana had given me the task to rearrange the slots for these products. I have rearrange all of it one by one in 2 days as it was a busy day to finished it in one day. The medicines stock also already been restock and we managed to find some new places to store the medicines. Not only that, some new supplements also came in which for those who wanted to add supplements as addition to their diet in having a healthy lifestyle. For example, vitamin C for adults. Adults prefer soluble type of vitamin C as it has fast absorption rather than chewable supplements. These are some of the brands and supplements that I have to rearrange the slot places.

I faced a challenge same as 2 weeks before which was to find the right place for the specific products according to their categories which was bit hard as there were many products in the pharmacy. This products have to be in 3 places which at the counter, at the vitamins C supplements in front of the counter rack and behind the rack at all the vitamins anad other health supplements rack. This products must be restock every week due to the demands of the customers and also from Shopee buyers too. I think that was all to talk about. Thank you😁

Weekly Report - WEEK 10

Hello again. This week weekly report presents the ultimate challenge which I learn to do it in my Diploma years which was editing. My boss have given me a task to edit Shopee photos of her selling products to make her ow label with her logo. I was honoured yet excited of what is coming to me to show my skills which was not a pro but still I ca do it as what my boss preferred. At first, she wanted me to edit a template and then, upload all the photos in bulk into the same template. Kak Farhana has found an application software to do so. Hence I started to download it. The application called PhotoXcape. After download it, I started to edit the template which must have fast shipping, and 100% original quality of the product. The other template must have free gift logo as some of her products selling in Shopee have free gifts. Therefore I was able to finished editing both template in short amount of time but it has a tricky problem where this came from. The photos that I have edited cannot be uploaded in bulk for different products. We have to subscribe other application and pay for it. I took the initiative to do it the old school way where I will edit all the pictures one by one. The next day, I have managed to finish editing all 400 pictures. I was satisfied with my work and it really paid off. there were 1700+ pictures that I need to edit so it will take some time to finish it all. Unfortunately, my boss told me to move the shop logo from the left side to the right side as she tried to upload my edited pictures which resulted to the logo cannot be seen by buyers as in Shopee app there were a preferred shop logo on the upper left of the picture. Thus, I have to take some time to edit back all those 400+ pictures including the others. Even though it was a lot but I still enjoy doing it. Below are the edited template for Shopee products. Weekly Report - WEEK 9

Hi, welcome back to my blogpost. This week was a bit tired due to the work load. My boss asked me to help her reorganising and rearranging the store with all of the new coming stocks. I have restock all the products and medicines according to their places in the store. It took 2 days to finished arrange it. After that, there were new products coming in such as Pigeon brands for babies accessories, Hada Labo, and Loreal Paris for skincare set and also Good Virtue Co. for the hair and body care sets. 

I have to rearrange the places for these products named PIgeon which was for baby accessories.

Weekly Report - WEEK 8

Welcome back to my blogpost. It was bit sad and hectic week for me as my colleague name Azlin had just quit the job. She has the same position as me. She was not a pharmacist but just assist in helping the pharmacist and also serves the customer's need. She did not say she was going to quit at first but later on Kak Farhana one of my colleague told me that she said goodbye. Therefore, this week was a bit challenge for me as most of the stocks, medicines and products run out even for the first two weeks of 2021. My boss, Ms Tan said that we all have to rearrange all the products and medicines according to it places so that it will be easy for us to take and everyone can see the stocks. By this week also I have gotten the opportunity to wrap the Shopee product at another store. This store were rent by my boss to store bigger stocks like pampers for adult, underpads, gauzes, milk tins and many more. By the way, I have gotten the list for the academic supervisor. My supervisor is Ustaz Muhammad Adli bin Ahmad. He was my Khidmat Masyarakat subject guide lecturer who teaches me to write up proposal for an event. He also one of the guidance lecturer who leads the Facilitator Club. So, I know him a bit and hopefully got to impressed him with my working skills and also discipline. I think that was all for this week. Thank you.

Weekly Report - WEEK 7

Hello again. This week I have learn fully on how to handle parcel deliveries from companies like DKSH, Zuellig and many more. These companies supplies the biggest medicines and products to sell.  At first I have made a mistake by not giving all the documents needed back by the courier. Luckily, one of my colleague taught me how and the courier noticed and came back to collect the documents. Not only that, the next day I made a mistake by taking the Shopee product with not enough quantities which resulted to making my second mistake. There was an order that need to be fulfil with vitamin C for children with 2 orange flavours but I gave them only 1 which was lucky because we have a systematic checking routine before packing it and post. This was due to the fact that the Shopee order were a lot and there was not enough people to handle it. Usually Ms Leong will handle the order but she had an emergency leave on that day which resulted to many order and also at the same time there were many customers came because the government had just announced that the whole Malaysia have to undergo the lockdown again. People get panicked and came by to buy spare medicines as they cannot go out frequently after this. The Shopee order also increased day by day as they have sales and discounts. Starting next week, the pharmacy must be open early at 8.30 am to 8.00 pm due to the time determine by the government. Therefore, I have to learn not making and repeat my mistake anymore for the next Shopee order. I must be careful and always ask if it was right or wrong so that I am in the right track. That was all for this week. Thank you😆

Weekly Report - WEEK 6

Hello! This week also the continuation of learning from OTC (over the counter) products. However, for this week I able to learn about eye products from contact lenses solution, and also eye drops. Products such as Eye Glo and Eye Mo were actually for sore eyes, tiredness, redness and, watery eyes and after opening the bottle it can be used for only a month even though the expiry is late. This is because to avoid infection. There are some products that can last for 6 months after open the bottle which at achigher price than the normal eye drop. I also have to differentiate the regular eye drop and gel type which is more moisture. There is also a vial type that you can wear and dispose of for only 12 hours after open. This is called UDV (unit dose vials). There will be pictures below to refer to.

This week, on Friday, will be a public holiday which is the New Year of 2021. The pharmacy will be close on Friday, 1 January 2021. Most of the medicines and product stocks were already out of stock. By the new year, most companies will manufacture the new medicines and products. Thus, there will be a lot of package delivery by next week and restocking all the finished stocks. Weekly Report - WEEK 5

أهلا و سهلا (ahlaan wa sahlaan) which means welcome in Arabic as it has been so long since my high school that I have not use it. For this week, my colleague and I learning session continues as we learn from all pharmacist about the OTC (over the counter) products starting from basic medicine like Panadols, cough syrup, fever medicines for adults and also children which have different dose. For example like this picture. This is Panadol Suspension for children age 6 years old and above. Before that we have to ask the customer the age and weight of their children so it will be easy for us to decide the dose usage as it is very crucial for every age.

This was only one type that I can write here because there were various age and flavour that can be choosen from the preference of the customer also. It is very important to determine and on how to give medicines to the customers and that is why only certified pharmacists can dispense it. They have the license, certificate and also experience. It was very hard at first but when I managed to remember and help them it will get easier. Although this week was actually Christmas day which we do not have holiday. There will be holiday for new year on 1st January. There were a lot of Shopee order within this week because of the sale countdown. People buy more during this pandemic as they did not want to go out. Therefore, there were less of learning and more on handling customers and Shopee products. I think that is all for now. Weekly Report - WEEK 4

On this week, there were few new thing that I have learn such as a learning session with Kak Farhana which one of the pharmacist there about the OTC (over the counter) products. I have learn about all types of supports suck as ankle, knee, abdominal and back support including compression socks for normal and bedridden people. Not only that, there were also thumb brace, kinesiology tape, shoulder sleeves and tubular bandage which some patients use to wrap their legs. All functions, types and sizes must refer to the guideline from the product boxes. That was all that I have learn from this week as on Thursday I have to take a half day leave and Friday full day as I was having serious period pain for that 2 days. I have already replace the 2 days leave on Saturday and Sundayto make it even because I do not like to waste my time taking leave just because I'm in pain. Usually I will cover what I have missed as it was actually a lot of things to learn from this field. It also getting interesting day by day because I have the opportunity to learn same like my time in college. 

This is called the bedridden compression socks for people who cannot walk and have to stay in bed the whole time. The measurement can be seen at the side of the box.

Weekly Report - WEEK 3

 Hi again. This week was very hectic because I learned to count stocks of the medicines and some products and also signed delivery stocks. After learning to sign the delivery stocks, I have to count them whether it was accurate and precise as ordered. This pharmacy also joined Shopee as retailer to provide easy ways for customers to buy medicines because people cannot go out because of the COVID19 virus. The problem for this week was that the are a lot of Shopee order which clearly made most of the OTC (over the counter) products went out of stock. During this pandemic it was very to get stocks to arrive on time because there will be problem with the shipment. Some medicines are from outside of the country and also some factories were closed during this COVID19 outbreak. I was entrusted to take the medicines and some products from OTC part by Ms Leong one of my colleague. She was in charge of administration of the Shopee orders. I accidently took the wrong quantity from this certain product and it was my first ever mistake that I did for these past 2 weeks of my internship. I assure myself to be more cautious and alert about the products taken. This was because we must valued our customers and must given the best service to them. Weekly Report - WEEK 2

Hello and welcome. As stated on my previous post this week will be my first week to start my internship at Bliss Pharmacy. On my first week is just an introductory to the products in the pharmacy. I need to memorize the place and the uses of all the products display outside of the dispensaries counters. Few days later I was given a task to decorate the Christmas tree which was interesting because I never decorate one before. The whole decoration was only a DIY (do it yourself) items. It uses a lot of creativity. The whole week I learn to communicate with all of the customers and serves them at my best. I used both languages Bahasa Melayu and English to communicate with them as most of the customers comes from different races. I also got to socialise with my colleagues. Most of them are certified pharmacists. They were so kind and very helpful when it comes to teaching me about the main products and basic medicines. I learned a lot from them. So far it was a great week as it was just first week and hopefully I got to learn more on weeks to come. Until then, that was all for this week report. Thank you☺✊

Weekly Report - WEEK 1

Hello and good day. Welcome to my weekly report for my internship. I am undergoing my internship at Bliss Pharmacy as Sales Assistant in my hometown Pulau Pinang. It is located nearby my house and very convenient to commute there during this pandemic. I will be starting on 1st December 2020. My industrial supervisor, Ms Tan Ee Vern which is the owner of the pharmacy, asked me to start on that date as they are actually moving the pharmacy to a bigger space few blocks from the actual store. So for this first week I will not be starting like everyone else yet. I could not wait for next week.
